Ashley Hawkins was born in Sylmar, CA and at the age of 5 she got involved at a local Boys and Girls Club (Dance Program ) and church, where she also learned how to sing; taking part in the Children’s Choir and Praise Dance Ministry, until the age of 15. She had moved to Granada Hills and attended Granada Hills Charter High School and got involved in Drama/Theatre (played Portia, in the Julius Caesar play)Dance team (became a Dance Captain) as well as Women’s Show Choir, where we traveled for competitions. At the age of 18, Ashley held her own dance classes for kids, at her uncles gym. After High School, Ashley had her mind made up that Dance was something she was more than passionate for and wanted become a Professional Dancer and further her acting career.
After graduating High School (2017), she quickly got involved in the Dance industry. She started taking professional training classes at Millennium Fance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Danxe studio and many more. Trained in Beginners Ballet, Jazz Funk/Street jazz, Hiphop, contemporary and foundation classes (KRUMP, house, grooves, etc). At the age of 18, She landed her first gig in a music video directed by Teyana by Taylor, as a dancer; dancing with Ashley Everett (Beyoncé’s Dance Captain). She landed her first tour in 2019 and got to travel to New York, to perform on Saturday Night Live. She performed at the Grammys Showcase that same year and got to perform for her first time, at Rolling Loud (Los Angeles) with the famous dance crew, The Jabawakees. She worked with many amazing artists such as,Dababy, Teyana Taylor, Alicia Keys, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Duval, Tory Lanez and more.
