Cardero Berryman is a Proud Houstonian. He's been acting since childhood and grew a love from his middle and high school directors. Past roles included Othello in Othello, Spider in James in the Giant Peach, Troy Maxson in Fences, Richie in A Chorus Line, Little Charles in August Osage County, Ghost Fanicer in By the Bog of Cats and RENT at the Hobby Center. After graduating from Wiley College with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications.
While also being the president of the Nate Parker and Denzel Washington Drama Club. (The Tolson Players) After a “fun pandemic time” he knew it was time to get back into theater. This last year he has been involved in Various Characters in the Scriptwriter Houston 10x10 Play Festival at Theatre Suburbia and the 2023 Fade to Black Reading Series at MATCH. He played Benjamin Bassanio in District Merchants at Baytown Little Theatre and participated in the TEXfest. Where they advance to Regionals and receive Outstanding Performance for an Actor.
He was in a workshop of sTrapped a new play. Little Man Saves Christmas and I, Barabara Jordan at The Ensemble Theatre. Skeleton Crew at The Pearl Theater. Along with acting, Cardero has been directing for a few years. Ditto which was written and directed by him, Scenes in Poetry Under the Stars, The Bad Seed a workshop as well as Teaching workshop all over Houston Public Schools and working with many theater youth Camp.
